The Venom Ported Head did provide a HP increase at 7200rpms
but lost some hp/tq below that. On the track this set up runs very good .
Also tested was the Ron Wood Intake
system and a Modified stock air box. The DASA intake system still provided
the best HP and TQ.

This test was with the air
resonator removed and a custom plug installed. The mod smoothed out the
dip in the curve and made the A/F line flatter.
The first graph was the base line for the test with the DASA Filter

The third graph was with a Durablue Foam Filter installed
The last is an overlay of the first
test(5/28/06) showing the dip in the curve and the runs from the day.

The porting was a joint venture
between WppRacing and Wicked Motors. Wicked Motors is now part of
Watercraft Performance & ATV and will provide cylinder porting and valve
work. We are still in the R&D stage and now that we have the needed info,
changes will be made and improved with the next cylinder head. More HP
will be coming soon. All will be done using the STOCK Carb.
 
I was hoping for 54hp and fell a little short. By having the head ported
with a software program it laid the foundation for making changes. Since
the head has been mapped ,now along with the graph, we can see what and
where the port change needs changed. IMO Its not bad for the first shot

I now have the next ported
head with the changes made. The before and after figures were installed in
the program and it showed about 1-1.5 gain on bottom/mid and .5-1.0 on
top. It also had a smoother flow pattern and should not have the choppy
graph as the first dyno test did.
Went on the dyno today and the head performed like the program showed
